The other day I was walking up and down the Christmas stocking stuffer aisle and I saw this empty box. "What a cool box." I thought to myself. I put it down and then went home. Later that night I realized how awesome that box would be for a coin toss game. I went back and picked one up for me. The transformation is really simple. Materials:
- empty candy cane holder box
- glue
- 4 strips of decorative paper (optional)
- glue
- permanent marker
- coin
Directions: Trim decorative paper into 12" X 1". Glue over the candy logos. With a permanent marker, write above each circle a math problem to be solved or some sight words. Maybe even vocabulary, the ideas are endless!
Place your coin toss in a center or use at a kids party. Players flip a coin and solve the problem. You decide what the prize should be. Use several to make a larger playing surface for others. You can even have teams and race to solve the most problems in a set amount of time.
Do you have any ideas of how you would use it?
