Autumn is one of my favorite times of year! There are so many great activities to do in your community. With my students, I like to play games of course! After a long day of in class work and worksheets, they love coming to tutoring and getting to play a game. Most of my students are coming for math help. I decided to make a game called, Autumn Equivalent Fractions.

| Free File Folder Math Game |
In this game, students take the fraction in the little square in the corner and then match it with an equivalent fraction on a number line. I included an answer sheet for teachers that want to use it in their classroom.

This game is absolutely free and you can download it from my Teachers Pay Teachers store by following this

Other ideas that I have for teaching with this beautiful season are:
- Going on a leaf hunt and coming back to write about the colors you saw and the textures of the leaves.
- Collecting leaves for math students and writing ratios based on color, texture, location, type, etc.
- Reading books about harvest time or leaves.
- Make a Venn Diagram with your students to describe leaves or fall harvest foods.
Here are some great titles:
Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf by Loise Ehlert,
Thanking the Moon by Grace Lin, and
Apples Apples Everywhere by Robin Koontz.
Laura Candler is doing a Halloween-Free link up over at her blog and I've decided to add this post to it! There are so many great ideas for you to browse through. Check it out by following the link with this button below.
